Beginning this Sunday, February 14, families and parents with children can pickup their own personal "Lent in a Box" in the atrium! This box includes tangible activities (supplies provided!) and devotionals/scriptures each week for families to journey through Lent, to include a "Resurrection Garden," unique hands-on prayer activities, recipes, and Holy Week ideas complete with a meaningful Easter treat. A booklet is included for the children (per child) as a weekly guide, and to journal their prayer and devotional activities. Although the book is not required to enjoy the box, The Lenten Tree by Dean Smith is referenced throughout the booklet and is a wonderful devotional for children and parents to prepare for Christ's death and His Resurrection. Families may also contact the church office to make arrangements for pickup, or stop by M-Th, 9a-4p. One box per family.
