Eric McAfee
Worship Arts Director

Originally from Indianapolis, Eric has lived in the DC area since 2017.  Powerful forces--spiritual and physical--brought him both to music ministry and to the greater Anglican community: after moving to New Orleans right after school for a job in urban planning, he soon faced the fury of Hurricane Katrina. This mighty storm prompted a local Episcopal church, in need of new artistic leadership, to contact him to become their organist. Eric has maintained engagement with Anglican church music ever since, sometimes as a supply musician, other times as an interim music director, while living in a variety of locales: across the Gulf Coast (Louisiana, Mississippi), the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania, Detroit, Boston, and overseas work as a civilian in Afghanistan and a student in Uruguay, where music ministry continued.

New to All Saints’ as of spring 2024, he is excited about contributing and expanding upon the great opportunities for spiritual formation in music, working with the existing team, bolstering great traditions, and introducing new musical paths for exploration. In his free time, he enjoys long-distance running, freelance writing and photography, foreign languages (including butchering those he doesn't know--which is most), and reading or creating new maps.

Jim Morrison

Adult Discipleship Leader

Jim’s father was in the Navy, so he was born in Oakland, Ca, grew up in San Diego, Ca, Guam, Lemoore Naval Air Station (NAS), Ca, and graduated from high school in Memphis, TN.

He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1976.

In 2021, Desiree Barker (then Director of Adult Discipleship) started preparing for her departure from All Saints’ when she and her husband Steve retired. Over a two-year period, she trained Jim and Josh Moore to assume the position of Director of Adult Discipleship. Through 2022 and 2023, she transitioned duties to them. In September 2023, the transition was finished with her departure and the transfer of spiritual authority for this ministry to Jim and Josh.

Jim is a blood donor who is blessed to use the asperisis machine method of donating. This means he can donate more often and cancer patients (and others) of all ages benefit as a result. Jim encourages all who can to donate the gift of life through the power of their testimony of their life in Jesus and by donating blood when they can.

Josh Moore

Adult Discipleship Leader

When asked, Josh Moore usually says that he’s from Brevard, NC. It’s in the mountains southwest of Asheville. But he only finished growing up there. As the son of a pastor, Josh and his family lived in multiple places across North Carolina.

Josh and his wife Sarah, both went to Houghton College (now Houghton University). His degree is a Bachelor of Music with Major-Level Elective Studies in Philosophy. In English, that means he did a double major in Music and Philosophy.

Officially, Jim and Josh began serving as the Adult Discipleship Leaders when Desiree Barker retired in August 2023. However, Desiree had begun the transition process in 2021 and 2022.

When Josh was a teenager, he was an international whistling champion! He and Sarah have three young daughters.
