Originally from Indianapolis, Eric has lived in the DC area since 2017. Powerful forces--spiritual and physical--brought him both to music ministry and to the greater Anglican community: after moving to New Orleans right after school for a job in urban planning, he soon faced the fury of Hurricane Katrina. This mighty storm prompted a local Episcopal church, in need of new artistic leadership, to contact him to become their organist. Eric has maintained engagement with Anglican church music ever since, sometimes as a supply musician, other times as an interim music director, while living in a variety of locales: across the Gulf Coast (Louisiana, Mississippi), the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania, Detroit, Boston, and overseas work as a civilian in Afghanistan and a student in Uruguay, where music ministry continued.
New to All Saints’ as of spring 2024, he is excited about contributing and expanding upon the great opportunities for spiritual formation in music, working with the existing team, bolstering great traditions, and introducing new musical paths for exploration. In his free time, he enjoys long-distance running, freelance writing and photography, foreign languages (including butchering those he doesn't know--which is most), and reading or creating new maps.
Beth was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland and came to faith in Christ as a teenager through the youth ministry of a local Presbyterian church. She has a BA in English with minors in Psychology and Education from Virginia Tech. She was confirmed in the Episcopal church as an adult and has a deep love for the Anglican tradition
Beth has served as Director of Communications at both the diocesan and parish levels and also worked for Trinity School for Ministry (now Trinity Anglican Seminary) and the Coalition for Christian Outreach, a campus ministry organization based in Pittsburgh. She is delighted to be part of the team at All Saints’ under Father Scott’s leadership and with such a terrific group of clergy and staff!
Beth’s husband Brian is Rector of Christ Church Accokeek, a colonial parish in southern Maryland that became part of the ACNA and the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic in April 2021. Their son is a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh.
She is an avid reader and enjoys all kinds of music, British crime dramas, and dancing to U2 when no one is looking.
