All Saints' Food Pantry Awarded Grant!

Take a look at this exciting update about the $90,000 grant All Saints’ Church received to support our work continuing the monthly food giveaways for our community! God continues to provide as we seek to pour out more of his His love into families in need!

“The Lord has poured his blessings upon the All Saints' Food Pantry ministry! In January, the Prince William County Board of Supervisors allocated $10 million of American Rescue Plan Act funds to support COVID-19 recovery efforts for Prince William County residents, including the administration of hunger-relief programs.

We are thrilled to report that we were notified last week that we were awarded a $90,000 grant! Praise God!

These funds will be for:

  • A modified, climate-controlled shipping container to store our non-perishables

  • An energy-efficient commercial freezer

  • An irrigation system in the church vegetable gardens, complete with timers for the individual beds

  • An additional shed for garden supplies

  • Shelving, carts, etc. to organize the food

  • Garden equipment to enhance our ability to grow more vegetables

  • A variety of supplies to run our Food Pantry ministry for the next 2 years

I'd especially like to thank Alison Pachecano, Susan Baggott, Jim Morrison, Walt DeHoust, Ed Speare, Roger Ellefsen, Lynne Cheney, Father Scott, and the Vestry for the time they spent praying, researching, budgeting, and writing to pull this grant together on very short notice.

Please rejoice with me in giving thanks to our Lord for enabling us to do even more to feed the hungry in our community!

Grateful we can serve together,

Tammy”
