Funeral for Amy Myers

I am the resurrection and the life, says the Lord.
Whoever believes in me,
though he die, yet shall he live,
and everyone who lives and believes in me
shall never die. John 11:25-26

Our sister in Christ, Amy Leona (Hardeman) Myers, 79, of Manassas, Virginia passed away peacefully on October 27th, 2020.

She was born on February 25th, 1941 in Dallax, TX, to Ira and Sarah Faye Hardeman. She married the love of her life, Francis (Frank) Myers on May 16th, 1968. Amy called many different places home, including Hawaii, Colorado, Korea, and Iran, before settling down in Manassas. She retired from the PWCPD where she was the Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police for nearly 20 years.

Amy enjoyed visiting friends at her local Moose and VFW, gaming out in Charles Town and Las Vegas, as well as spending time with her loved ones. She was whip-smart with a quick wit to match and had an undeniable spunky and charismatic personality that made her an absolute pleasure to be around. Amy was truly a one-of-a-kind woman who left a positive impact on anyone who was lucky enough to know her.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Frank Myers; her children, Michelle (James) Fleming and Jerry (Karen) Myers; her sister Reita Hardeman; her grandchildren Jessica, Bailea, and Jordan Fleming and Christopher and Timothy Myers; and her great-grandchild Avery Myers. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bobby Hardeman.

A memorial service will be held at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd. Woodbridge, VA 22192 at 12 p.m. on Saturday October 31st, 2020.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Rest eternal grant to her, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
