A great time to celebrate with fall festivities while being the face of Jesus Christ in the community!

We hosted 25 children and a pumpkin patch of 28 small pumpkins. All the children came in their favorite costumes. Parents played lawn games, made fall crafts with their kids and decorated their pumpkin.

We met five new families! One family heard about our weekly Storytime at the WGTS Ice Cream Tour, but finally “got around to coming!” Another heard about it at our outdoor Easter Event” (Road to Resurrection). One family that has been regularly attending since summer walked from the Cloverdale neighborhood. One mom said she was going to go to the local bookstore event but her friend told her about Cloverdale and said she was going to the park instead; both moms came with their children together! Another mom kept receiving screenshots about Storytime from her friend since summer, and finally came with her little girl.

Dads came along and were sitting on the playground. Friends were made, families were encouraged, and Jesus was threaded throughout.

The face of the church in the park, church invitations in each goody bag, Shine Your Light WITH JESUS bags were distributed with lots of tangible gift reminders that JESUS IS THE LIGHT!
