Small Group Studies continue July 9 during the Sunday School hour (from 9:45-10:45 a.m.) but the books change. Please enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and fellowship with fellow parishioners in one of the following offerings:
“Carry the Flame” In this five-session video Bible study, bestselling author and pastor Jim Cymbala draws on examples of ordinary people - men and women such as Ananias, Philip, and the 120 who waited in the Upper Room - along with modern-day testimonies to show how God can use anyone and everyone who follows his guidance. As you go through this study, you will learn how to obey the Spirit's directions and extend the kingdom through sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Carry the Flame is a book with video small group and will meet in the Creation Room of the Children’s Wing. Study guides will be available on the first day of class for $20 each (Kindle version is $12.99 if you choose to order on your own). Coffee/Tea will be provided.
“Liturgy in the Wilderness: How the Lord’s Prayer Shapes the Imagination of the Church in a Secular Age” Anglican priest D. J. Marotta shows how the Lord’s Prayer provides a framework in our secular age for believing and living in Jesus Christ. The words of the Lord’s Prayer form our imaginations and – given time – transform us. When we allow these words to work on us, we become wiser, kinder, and more joyful followers of Jesus. Allow your heart to be awakened to the beauty and bounty of the Lord’s Prayer that we may live faithfully in the wilderness. This study will meet in the Bishop’s area (second floor) above All Saints’ Administration Wing. Books will be available on the first day of class for $10 each (Kindle version is $9.99 if you choose to order on your own). Coffee/Tea will be provided.
