Dear All Saints’ Family,
July 12 marked the first in-person service at All Saints’ since mid-March. After weeks of research and planning, a team of ten volunteers facilitated holding a church service following a plan approved by Bishop John Guernsey. Since last Sunday, we have formed two other teams to do the work required to hold services in a safe, orderly and efficient manner. It was true joy to see church friends in the Sanctuary, praying together, worshiping with raised hands and receiving communion. It was also uplifting to note that many continued to watch via YouTube streaming, essentially an All Saints’ Church “double envelopment ” of the Lord in worship.
We will continue with this approach for the near future. Those wanting to come to church in person are required to register during the week via the church website. Registration is necessary to ensure the Sanctuary is configured on Sunday as needed to comply with social distancing. Live streaming will also continue indefinitely to accommodate those more comfortable worshiping at home.
We will also continue to look with a creative eye to the future and proactively pursue other ways that we may reestablish church life to the fullest way possible. Of course, we will continue to be steadfast in following safe precautions, guidelines and practices.
Blessings in Christ,
Walt DeHoust, Junior Warden
