The All Saints’ Vestry spent an hour walking and praying over our church property prior to its bi-monthly meeting Sept. 28.
The time together allowed the Vestry to check on different sections of the church land, including work done at the prayer grove next to Ashdale Plaza, the storm management area down behind the church and the prayer path along Hylton Chapel leading to Gideon Drive.
The Vestry took note of the new benches in the prayer area replaced by Emory Butler and troop 1396 as part of Emory’s Eagle Scout Project.
Vestry members also noted the work done at the storm management site. Over two days, Walt DeHoust, Bruce DeSoto, Michael Emery, Jim Exnicios and David Fawcett, members of the church’s grounds crew, cleared out the growth so a company could come in and remove the silt from the area for a required county inspection.
All Saints’ passed inspection and Prince William County praised the church’s efforts in preparing the storm water management site.
