September Food Giveaway!

Saturday, September 10 is another opportunity to give food away to our neighbors in need. We have been averaging more than 200 people collecting food at each food giveaway! There is a real need in our community, and God is orchestrating a way for us to work together to share his love by meeting that need.

This is the first food giveaway since school started back up, so we are expecting a large crowd. Volunteers are needed Thursday (sorting food), Friday (at the perishable food drive and helping with set-up), and Saturday at the giveaway. Sign up to serve and experience the joy of giving firsthand!

It is a blessing to provide non-perishables as well as fresh chicken and fresh produce to every family who comes! As always there are specific foods we need donated each month.

Food items most needed:

  • maseca

  • cartons of oats

  • pancake mix

  • soups

  • corn

  • pasta sauce

  • rice

Bread, fresh fruit, and vegetables will be collected Friday, September 9 between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Please pray! This ministry belongs to God and only through Him are we able to make a difference in the lives of others.

Thanks again for all your support! If you have any questions, please contact Tammy.

Mentor Moms for Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)

Would you be interested in mentoring mothers with little ones? All Saints’ MOPS group meets on the 2nd & 4th Mondays of the month during the school year form 9:30-11:30 a.m. Mentor Moms provide encouragement to the group in various ways, such as encouraging words (written or spoken), gestures of hospitality, attending one or more MOPS meetings a year, and/or caring for little ones during an occasional morning meeting.

The only requirement for Mentor Moms is that you love the Lord, and have a heart for families! If you are willing to come alongside mothers even a few times a semester, please contact Tara.

Follow Along a Pilgrimage of Pain and Faith

Susan Sams Baggott of All Saints’ Church will be walking a pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago in Spain August 28- September 10! She invites you to join her virtually here as she walks a Pilgrimage of Pain and Faith. Here from Susan in her own words:

“Chronic pain leads to exhaustion and depression. It can be isolating and lonely in its cocoon of misery. But it doesn’t need to be. Millions of people suffer chronic pain. Follow along as I blog about the pilgrimage and the spiritual experience. Share your stories of encouragement and conquest along with me. Together, let’s build a community of support.”

We’ll be sure to follow along with her journey and we’ll be catching up with her afterwords to hear her thoughts and reflections on this incredible leap of faith!
