Is Your Flag Represented?

Our flag display in the atrium represents the countries of origin of our parishioners, the Dale City community, and countries where we support missionaries. If your country of origin is not represented, please email communications@allsaintswoodbridge.org with your country of origin so we can add it to the display! Please submit your country by July 1 so we can place the order and hang the new flags!

Hunger Heroes at Storytime Park Day!

School is out and it's time for HUNGER HEROES and FEEDING WITH READING at Storytime Park Day at Cloverdale Park!

There will be a special Storytime Park Day on Thursday, June 22 called "Hunger Heroes: A Food Drive Play Date." Children are invited to bring food donations for the Food Pantry at All Saints' Church, and in turn, each child will receive a plastic hero cape to signify their good deed, receive a "Today I helped end childhood hunger!" sticker, and draw pictures on paper plates to be given out with the food donations.

Additionally over the summer, we will host a “Feeding with Reading’ at Storytime Park Day! For each child that wants to participate, they can ask sponsors (parents, family, neighbors, friends, etc) to donate one nonperishable food item per book they read over the summer. Kids will receive a certificate each time they bring in their food raised, and they will actively be playing a role in fighting hunger in Dale City AND our kids will be encouraged to read some great books!

Storytime Park Day meets every Thursday at Cloverdale Park at 10 a.m. Contact Tara with any questions, or if you would like to read a story to the children, assist Tara with craft activities, distribute snacks, or make new friends at the Park!

Join the Party Next Week!

Let's create rockets (paper and 3D) and all things outer space this upcoming Wednesday, June 21 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.! All are invited to help with Stellar Vacation Bible School decorations as we create and decorate for 2023 Stellar VBS. Creativity not required! There are lots of little (but fun!) jobs to help out, with plenty of guidance. Refreshments served. All ages welcome! This is the last opportunity to contribute to a VBS Decor Party! RSVP's helpful to Tara.

Saturday VBS Training

Are you interested in learning more about how you can help serve Vacation Bible School this year? RSVP for the next VBS training on Saturday, June 24 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. There are so many different ways to serve this important community outreach, and attending a VBS Training is the best way to learn more! If you can’t make it on Saturday, June 24 there will be one more training on Wednesday, July 12 from 1-3 p.m.

Congratulations Foundations for Ministry Graduates!

Congratulations to our Foundations for Ministry class! The participants in this course have completed two academic years of study through both the Old and New Testaments. This group began during COVID but that did not slow them down! Experiencing a combination of online and in-person meetings, they were able to meet regularly and finish the course on time. Many thanks to Jim Morrison and Sheryl Shamer for their leadership and to all the other teachers who had a part in leading this group. Well done all!

VBS Adopt-a-Prop

Help us set the scene for VBS by volunteering to make a prop at home.

The countdown is on for our out-of-this world VBS! STELLAR will launch kids on a cosmic quest where they'll have a blast learning to shine Jesus' light to the world!

AND YOU CAN HELP!

As we transform our building into a gorgeous galaxy, there are a number of props and decorations that can be done from home. Some are simple as cutting out pictures and others are more complex. There's something everyone can do!

Please consider volunteering for one of the projects that are explained in this document.

Once you have perused the choices, sign up here for the project of your choice.

Thanks for helping us set the scene for a Stellar VBS!

Camp Booyah Encouragement Letters!

Would you like to support and encourage All Saints’ Youth in their walk with Christ as they participate in Camp Booyah this year? Members of the congregation can send words of encouragement, prayers, or Scripture to Anita (agmchargue@verizon.net). They will be read to our students during their nightly “cabin time.” Please send any emails by no later than Sunday morning. Anita will also be in the atrium after the second service on Sunday with cards and pens if you would like to hand-write your note.
