New Study for the Zoom Homebound Group!
The new Zoom Homebound small group on Thursdays 7-8:30 p.m. will begin a new study September 7th on “Forever”, a video Bible study developed by Dr. Paul Tripp.
Instead of embracing the world's motto---'you only live once'---follow Tripp as he unpacks the biblical truth of the world as a broken place, longing for a second chance. And come alive as you discover the meaning and redemption all this brokenness can bring to your life today!
Dr. Tripp attended Columbia Bible College (now Columbia International University) and majored in Bible and Christian Education. He went on to receive his M.Div from the Reformed Episcopal Seminary and his D.Min in Biblical Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary.
If you are homebound and want to join, all you need is a computer or a smart phone, and internet service. If you don’t know how to use Zoom, we can help you. Please contact Deacon Julie Tilton at jtilton@allsaintswoodbridge.org.

New Adult Sunday School Classes Start Sept. 17
Small Group Studies continue in September during the Sunday School hour (from 9:45 to 10:45) but the books change starting September 17. Please enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and fellowship with fellow parishioners in one of the following offerings:
“Acts” The Spirit moved in dramatic ways in the early church. The Gospel was preached, thousands were added to their number, many were healed, and the good news about Jesus was spread across continents. Covering the exciting action of the Spirit in the years just following Jesus' life on earth, this study will open your eyes to the Spirit’s power in the past and the present and help you apply the riches of Scripture to your own life.
“Acts” by John Stott is a book small group augmented by video segments and will meet in the Creation Room of the Children’s Wing. Study guides will be available on the first day of class for $12 each (Kindle version is $10.49 if you choose to order on your own). Coffee/Tea will be provided.
“The Good and Beautiful God” by James Bryan Smith. This deep, loving and transformative book will help you discover the narratives that Jesus lived by—to know the Lord he knew and the kingdom he proclaimed—and to practice spiritual exercises that will help you grow in the knowledge of our good and beautiful God.
This study will meet in the Bishop’s area (second floor) above All Saints’ Administration Wing. Books will be available on the first day of class for $15 each (Kindle version is $14.24 if you choose to order on your own). Coffee/Tea will be provided.
All Saints’ Youth & Ice Cream Bonanza!
All Saints’ Youth! On September 17, we will start meeting regularly again from 4-6 p.m. Let’s celebrate the start of school with ice cream sundaes. We’ll provide the ice cream and you provide your favorite toppings. Parents, once a month, we’ll take turns providing dinner for the youth and volunteers. Make sure you are on Jedd’s email list for details. The calendar for youth events can be found here. See you on Sept. 17!

A Thank You From Steve & Desiree
Dear Saints,
Steve and I were truly blessed by the celebration of our ministry this past Sunday. We are so grateful to have been a part of All Saints’ for the past 32 years and to have served alongside so many of you. The community of believers at All Saints’ will always hold a very special place in our hearts. We will miss you all greatly – even as we look forward to being close to our family and delighting in what God has for us in the season ahead.
Thank you for all your cards and kind words shared with us and thank you for the gift of retreat. We look forward to spending time at the monastery after we get settled in our new home.
With love and blessing to all in Christ Jesus,

Support Anglican Relief and Development Fund in Maui
Peak fire conditions have characterized much of Hawaii for some time, so when blazes broke out on Maui the fire swept across the land in a deadly blaze. ARDF is collecting funds to support survivors, and Anglican Churches are helping survivors find shelter. They are also providing food and emergency kits.
We lift up Kingsfield Anglican Mission, Maui, and Christ the Foundation Anglican Church, Oahu (Diocese of the Rocky Mountains), as they serve survivors of the wildfires. Kingsfield Anglican Mission has been locating shelter for displaced citizens, and providing food and emergency supplies for those in need. As the larger relief organizations get established, the mission is to identify individuals with small, unmet needs and fulfilling them.
Please join us in praying for those who have lost family and friends, who are now homeless, and for those ministering to survivors after this natural disaster.
Almighty God, by your Word you laid the foundations of the earth, set the bounds of the sea, and still the wind and waves. Surround those in Hawaii with your grace and peace, and preserve those through the aftermath of the fire. By your Spirit, lift up those who have fallen, strengthen those who work to rescue or rebuild, and fill us with the hope of your new creation;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Adapted from a prayer for Times of Natural Disaster, Book of Common Prayer, 2019.
