We invite you to come explore the Person and work of the Holy Spirit. Each week we will look at a different aspect of the Spirit as He is revealed in both the Old and New Testaments. We will also explore the work of the Spirit in the life of the believer. How does He operate in our life as a community and in our worship? What are spiritual gifts and what place do they have in each believer’s life? These questions and others will be addressed over this 10-week course. Class will meet in the Sanctuary.

This book study “provides a solid biblical, theological and historical grounding for one of the most important practices in the Christian life: contemplative prayer.” We will work our way through the text, the practices, and the discussion both as a group and on our own. If this is an area you would like to explore or if you seek to move to a deeper level in this area, plan to join this group. The book, When the Soul Listens by Jan Johnson is $14.00 and available the first day the group meets. This group will meet weekly in the Bishop’s Conference Room (on the upper level of the Admin. Wing)

The ‘Simply Loved’ curriculum will continue this fall for ages 3 through 6th grade, as children explore New and Old Testaments, and discover friendship with Jesus throughout God’s story. ‘Simply Loved’ curriculum was created with the truth found in 1 John 4:7 . Children will participate in worship songs, meet a Bible Buddy, learn a new Bible story, and participate in a hands on activity during the Christian Education Hour from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

This fall during the Sunday Education Hour from 9:45-10:45 a.m. youth (6th-12th grade) will meet in the multi-purpose room to discuss the Gospel reading from the service. Jedd+ will provide a teaching that makes the reading accessible and applicable to teens today.

Check out the new Middle School Class for 6-7 graders where we will explore “What is the Bible?” “How to Read the Bible” and more! Enjoy donuts and conversation with your age group! This class will meet in the Multi-purpose room.

Starting, Sunday September 11, the Youth Group will be meeting downstairs in the multi-purpose room to enjoy games, time to socialize, and teachings with group discussions. This fall, teaching topics will include: The Sermon on the Mount, the “I am” sayings of Jesus in the Gospel According to John, and more!

Foundations for Ministry begins Sunday, September 12 from 4-6 p.m. Foundations is an adult small group Bible study course designed for those willing to make a commitment to daily Bible study. Childcare is available and it will also take place during the Middle/High School youth group.

Tuesday Morning (9:45- 11:30 a.m.)

That You May Believe: A Study of the Gospel of John- This women’s study will meet at the church on Tuesday mornings for a time of fellowship and study of this beloved gospel. John tells his readers why he wrote his account – that you “may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God,” and “have life in His name.”

No matter where you are in your faith journey, come and let the wonderful truths of this book minister to you. Bring your Bible and a journal or notebook. The group will gather in the Admin. Conference Room at 9:45 for fellowship and start promptly at 10 am

That You May Believe: A Study of the Gospel of John

This women’s study will meet at Panera on Thursday Evenings from 7-8:15 for a time of fellowship and study of this beloved gospel. John tells his readers why he wrote his account – that you “may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God,” and “have life in His name.” No matter where you are in your faith journey, come and let the wonderful truths of this book minister to you. Bring your Bible and a journal or notebook. Group time will start at 7:00 p.m. so please get your snack or drink ahead of that time. All are welcome!
