Everyone is Invited!
Saturday, September 26, 3-6 p.m.
Little feet to trekking teens….families of all ages invited to come out and explore the great outdoors right here in our neighborhood. We will hike on ‘South Valley Trail,’ an adventurous 45 minute hike (one way) to some large rock beds and small cascades and water. Once we reach the rock beds, we will rest up, take a snack break, and explore the area. Littles can be carried on a parent’s back, but the hike is for about ages 5 and up due to a steep incline and rough terrain on the way up. Enter the Park at ‘Park Entrance Road, Triangle,’ across from the Quantico Base entrance, off of Joplin Road/Route 1. Families with children will hike from Parking Lot C (a shorter hike), and Youth Families will hike from Parking Lot A (a longer hike).
Let’s all meet at the Visitor Center Parking Lot to gather!
RSVP’s helpful (we will wait for those we know are attending) to Jedd Trenum OR Tara Pedersen.
Entrance to the Park is FREE on this day to honor Public Lands Day!
