New Small Groups Starting During Sunday School!

Discover the next step in your spiritual walk. Discover ways to connect with or go deeper with God. This Lenten season we will be doing a small group study in several small groups during the Education Hour (Sundays, 9:45-10:45). So, grab your favorite beverage and come join the discussion (Coffee and hot water for tea will be available in each room – if you want something else, bring it with you).

The groups will focus on Trevor Hudson’s Discovering Our Spiritual Identity: Practices for God’s Beloved. If you are not sure what the next step in your faith might be – Come! If you have been walking this journey of faith for a long time – Come! The study is designed for both individual reflection on your own and group sharing. Each setting will be a safe place to share what God is doing in your life and to support one another on this journey through Lent and beyond.

If you plan to join one of the groups, please sign up so we know how many books to order. The books are $15 and will be available at the first group meeting on Sunday, February 26. Hope to see you there!

Ash Wednesday is February 22

Ash Wednesday is February 22

Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lent, a season of repentance and self-examination as we walk towards the Cross. The tradition of the Imposition of Ashes is a powerful and Biblical way to begin this penitential season in deep humility and prayer. Join us at noon or 7 p.m. for this important service. Childcare will be provided at the 7 p.m. service.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner

Tuesday, February 21 is Shrove Tuesday and All Saints’ Church will be resuming the annual Pancake Dinner! The dinner will take place from 5-8 p.m. in the atrium. So that we know how much food to prepare, please RSVP to attend by Wednesday, February 15. Additionally, if you are available to set up (on Feb. 19) or serve (on Feb. 21) there is an option to sign-up to serve below!

Relief for Syria and Turkey

Anglican Relief and Development Fund is collecting funds for earthquake relief.

On Monday, February 6, two massive earthquakes struck southeast Turkey, killing thousands, injuring tens of thousands, and leaving devastation across a wide swath of the country and into northern Syria. ARDF is collecting funds for this disaster and is currently working to connect with partners on the ground. You can donate through All Saints’ Church to ARDF below. You can also bring a designated offering for the plate this Sunday (February 12) at both services.

ARDF will continue to provide updates on relief efforts on their website. In the meantime, you can support these efforts by donating to the Joseph Fund, and by keeping the people of Syria and Turkey in your prayers.

We especially need donations of fresh fruits and vegetables to be collected Friday, Feb. 10 between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

Non-perishable Food items most needed:

  • cartons of oats

  • pancake mix

  • corn

Bread and fresh produce will be collected Friday, February 10 between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Please pray! This ministry belongs to God and only through Him are we able to make a difference in the lives of others.

Abortion Recovery Class at Life First

Are you or someone you know struggling with the guilt or grief that can follow an abortion? You are not alone. Abortion can affect a woman, physically, emotionally, and most importantly…spiritually.

Every one of us has made choices we wish we could undo. And some of us believe that we have done things that are unforgivable. However, our God longs for us to come to Him with our brokenness.

If abortion is part of your story (or someone you know) and you want to:

  • Receive His forgiveness

  • Learn to forgive yourself

  • Forgive others who influenced your decision

  • Grieve the loss of a child

  • Be able to console others who are unsure of God’s forgiveness

Life First invites you to join other women who have been forgiven and set free. Our Abortion Recovery Bible study provides support and encouragement as women work through the challenges and personal issues of abortion. Abortion recovery offers what no other place in our communities can: freedom from guilt and grief. It’s confidential, non-judgmental, and a safe place to share your experience. Together we will search the Scriptures for the truth of God’s Word concerning forgiveness.

  • When: Beginning Monday, March 13

  • Time: 7:00 pm-9:00 pm

  • Where: Manassas Center (9254 Center St. Manassas, Va 20110)

If you are interested in participating in this welcoming and healing study, or if you simply want to learn more so you can decide if this study is right for you, send an e-mail to arc@firstcarewomen.com. Or you may contact Life First at 703-330-1300.

Come and hear from others who have supported or been through cancer. The idea is to either receive or provide some informal wisdom, vent about cancer, receive prayer, or discuss support options.

The meeting will be on Sunday, February 12, 2023, in the administrative conference room shortly after the 11:00 a.m. service.  A light lunch will be provided.
