Small Group Studies continue during the Sunday School hour. Please enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and fellowship with fellow parishioners in one of the following offerings:
Bible 101
Bible 101 is a revised course continuing in October in the Administrative Conference Room. Led by Walt DeHoust, this course introduces participants to the entire Bible using the central framework of the “Kingdom of God.” The Kingdom of God is defined as God’s people, in God’s place, enjoying God’s rule and blessing. The course will be a composite overview with occasional “stop offs” for a closer look at God’s kingdom. The intent is to give the participant a greater understanding of the central message of the Bible, the relationship between the Old and New Testaments, and a stronger confidence in personal Bible study. Please contact Walt if you have any questions.
The Genesee Diary by Henri Nouwen
Come along with Josh Moore as he leads us in the reading of Henri Nouwen’s The Genesee Diary. On finding that in the clutter of his life, his intimacy with God was lacking, Nouwen spent several months living as a temporary monk at The Abbey of the Genesee in upstate New York. There, he hoped that free from the other distractions of his life, he could spend his time in undistracted work, worship, and meditative prayer. This study meets in the Bishop’s Conference Room (second floor) above the All Saints’ Administration Wing. New copies can be found for $15 online or used for around $5 from Amazon or ThriftBooks. Please contact Josh Moore if you have questions.
