Small Group Studies continue during the Sunday School hour. Come and  enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and fellowship in the following offerings:

Continuing through April 13:  The Upper Room Discourse
Led by Jim Morrison in the Bishop’s Conference Room

Come be a disciple in the upper room during Jesus’ last meal with His disciples. During Lent, we will engage Jesus as He presents His final words to us. What was on His mind? Who was in His heart? What did He want us to receive from Him before his arrest and crucifixion? Come and see!

Starting April 27:  Prayer
Led by Mother Valarie in the Multi-Purpose Room (Lower Level)

Beginning the Sunday after Easter Day, the Rev. Valarie Whitcomb will lead a course on Prayer. This class will be facilitated using the book Discovering How To Pray by Hope McDonald and will enable you to understand effective ways of praying for yourself and your family. It will include time to practice prayer in groups of three or four.

Mother Valarie’s goal is to encourage and affirm you, and to give you not only the tools, but the faith to pray — expecting God’s presence and answers. She hopes that those of you who struggle with prayer or feel incapable of praying will come to this class.

Thursday Evening Zoom Bible Study (7 pm)
Gentle and Lowly by Dane Ortlund

What is Jesus’ deepest heart for his people, weary and faltering on their journey toward heaven? This book reflects on the verse that says He is “gentle and lowly in heart.” Bring your heart to this group meeting and experience a change in your understanding of who Jesus is.

Meetings happen via Zoom on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30 pm. All are welcome! For more information and Zoom details, contact Kat Zwingle at kzwingle@comcast.net.
