Prepare a Gift for a Child

Operation Christmas Child, brings joy and hope to needy children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Shoe box gifts have been delivered to children in more than 130 countries and All Saints’ Church has sent thousands of them!

Shoeboxes will be available in the Atrium or the church office starting Sunday, October 2 with instructions for packing. The ASC Youth, MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), and AHG (American Heritage Girls) will also be contributing boxes to this outreach event!  The All Saints’ collection date for boxes is Sunday, November 13th or Monday-Thursday by 4 p.m. to the church office. Let’s come together to gift a child not only with quality items that they may not normally have access to, but also with the gospel message of Jesus Christ!

Anglicans for Life Fall Meeting

The All Saints' Chapter of Anglicans for Life will hold its Fall meeting on Sunday, October 23 in the Heaven Room of the All Saints' Children's Wing beginning at 1 p.m. This meeting is open to all chapter members and anyone else interested in Life Issues. Our guest speaker for this meeting will be our own Mendy Gregory, who will talk to us about her work with First Care Women's Health in Woodbridge where she serves as an ultrasound nurse specialist. Light refreshments will be available. Chapter members are encouraged to invite their non-member friends to attend.

October Food Giveaway!

Saturday, October 8 is another opportunity to give food away to our neighbors in need. We have been averaging more than 200 people collecting food at each food giveaway! There is a real need in our community, and God is orchestrating a way for us to work together to share his love by meeting that need.

Volunteers are needed Thursday (sorting food), Friday (at the perishable food drive and helping with set-up), and Saturday at the giveaway. Sign up to serve and experience the joy of giving firsthand!

It is a blessing to provide non-perishables as well as fresh chicken and fresh produce to every family who comes! As always there are specific foods we need donated each month.

Food items most needed:

  • maseca

  • cartons of oats

  • pancake mix

  • corn

  • pasta sauce

Bread, fresh fruit, and vegetables will be collected Friday, October 7 between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Please pray! This ministry belongs to God and only through Him are we able to make a difference in the lives of others.

Thanks again for all your support! If you have any questions, please contact Tammy.

“You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.”

Experience the Joy of Serving in the Nursery!

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’” - Matthew 19:14

With the Fall Ministry Launch, the church nursery has rising needs for playing with, or rocking little ones!

When:

  • Sunday Mornings, 9:45 or 11 a.m. (for one hour, once a month)

  • Sunday Evenings, 4-6 p.m. (once a month)

  • Monday MOPS, 9:30-11:30 a.m. (once a month)

Volunteer Nursery attendants love on our little ones, and serve alongside Asteir Shokai. A child protection class is required (known as 'Protecting God's Children'), and can be set up at your convenience, or can be renewed in one hour online. Serving in this way ministers to our next generation of Christian families. Contact Tara or call Tara at the church office.

Extra Hands Bring Us Together to Serve the Church & Community
Please consider giving an hour or so of your time weekly or monthly to All Saints' Church by serving in one of the many volunteer opportunities. There's a spot for you wherever you would feel most comfortable serving--in the kitchen, in the nursery or helping hands with elementary children, being a friendly face for the youth, congregational care coordinator, in the office, during food giveaways, helping to set up the altar, reading during the service, usher, chalice bearer, or working in the A/V booth. You can take a look at several of the areas on the website here or call the church office for more information!
