Donations Needed for Easter Egg Hunt & Door Prizes for Families!

You can help support the outreach to families in the area neighborhoods with a donation of plastic easter eggs, easter candy, or a door prize for a child! The Road to Resurrection event on April 8 is a wonderful opportunity to grow the relationships with families and children in our Dale City area with the Easter Egg Hunt and Door Prize Drawing. For this event we need:

You can find the Amazon wishlist for the eggs and candy here. Purchases made through this link will be shipped directly to the church. You can also drip off any eggs or candy to the church office (9a.m.-4p.m. M-Th or Sunday morning).

If you are interested in donating a door prize, please email Tara Pedersen or call 703-670-0093.

Thank you for your support of this community event! It is through the generosity of this church that we are able to have successful community outreach!

March Food Giveaway!

Saturday, March 11 is another opportunity to give food away to our neighbors in need. We have been averaging more than 200 people collecting food at each food giveaway! There is a real need in our community, and God is orchestrating a way for us to work together to share his love by meeting that need.

Volunteers are needed Thursday (sorting food), Friday (at the perishable food drive and helping with set-up), and Saturday at the giveaway. Sign up to serve and experience the joy of giving firsthand! This month we have an extra need for fresh produce!

It is a blessing to provide non-perishables as well as fresh meat and fresh produce to every family who comes! During the winter/spring months, we will not receive fresh produce from First Fruits Farm.

We especially need donations of fresh fruits and vegetables to be collected Friday, March 10 between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

Non-perishable Food items most needed:

  • cartons of oats

  • pancake mix

  • maseca (instant corn meal)

Bread and fresh produce will be collected Friday, March 10 between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Please pray! This ministry belongs to God and only through Him are we able to make a difference in the lives of others.

Thanks again for all your support! If you have any questions, please contact Tammy.

A Renewed Focus on Prayer for Lent

As we enter into the season of Lent, there are several opportunities for us to deepen our prayer life. The first, is an opportunity to commit to a time in the All Saints’ Prayer Room. You can make your commitment online here. You can also sign-up for a time slot at the prayer kiosk in the atrium. Please note that there are three separate rooms available. You can learn more about the Prayer Room on Sunday, February 26 during the tours taking place after both services.

There are two opportunities to attend the monthly Prayer and Worship hour during Lent: Sunday, February 26 and Sunday, March 26. The Prayer and Worship hour takes place from 6-7 p.m. in the sanctuary every fourth Sunday of the month.

Moms in Prayer Starting March 6

The first Moms in Prayer meetup will be Monday, March 6, 7-8 p.m. Mothers and grandmothers invited! Moms in Prayer helps us pray powerfully, scripturally, and specifically for our children, young or grown, for our grandchildren, and for our child's school.

Whether you have never prayed out loud before, or have prayed for years in small groups, the experience of praying together with other moms in the prayer room of All Saints' Church will inspire, empower, and equip you in your relationship with Christ!

The first Monday of every month, 7-8 p.m., will be our time to come together as mothers of all ages, and all stages, in the ASC prayer room!

Children's Seder Meal March 19

Sunday, March 19, 9:45-10:45 a.m., is our tradition of the Sunday School Seder Meal. We will be treated to what has become an annual blessing for the children of All Saints’ Church, the Seder Meal teaching!  Children, ages mature 3 and up, are invited to come with their parents.  Upon arriving for the Seder teaching and meal, they will be directed to sit with their family.  The tables will be low to the ground and children will be seated on the floor with their parents.  Vestry member and Sunday School teacher, Dawn Smutz, will provide the instruction that accompanies each portion of the meal.  Children will be encouraged to try each food offering and participate in the reading of the scripture.

All Saints' Musicians Meeting!

Are you a musician who has been an active part of the church for at least 6 months? Are you interested in being a part of the vocal and instrumental musicians here at All Saints’ Church? You are invited to two important meetings to discuss and prayerfully strategize regarding music ministry at All Saints’ Church in the coming months.

Doris and Sharon (who have been leading worship on an interim basis) will be participating in both meetings with. The first meeting will take place on Sunday, March 5 between the 8:15 and 11:00 am services. The second meeting will take place following the 11:00 am service on Sunday, March 12, with lunch provided. Both meetings will take place in the main church/sanctuary. Please bring your instruments.

Please invite others from our congregation who you know of who are either instrumentalists or who have a possible interest in singing. The only firm requirement is that each person needs to be a committed Christian who has been an active part of the life of All Saints (including regular Sunday attendance) for a minimum of 6 months.

Please RSVP directly to Fr. Scott+ for the March 12  meeting no later than Monday, March 6 so that we can plan accordingly for lunch.
